When I first heard of yoga weight lifting, I was intrigued. I did not do either one at the time, but I was interested in learning about both. I just did not know that I was going to learn them hand in hand this way. I decided to see what the connection was because I was just really curious. I know that yoga instructors are very strong and in incredible shape, but I thought that was just their genetics to be honest. It was not that I was discounting yoga, but I honestly thought that it was a simple thing to do.
The more I learned about it though, the more I realized just how disciplined a person has to be to do yoga. I thought it was all about stretching, but it entails so much more than that. Yoga actually gets to the point where people are able to lift and maintain their own body weight, which is just incredible to see. Read the rest of this entry »
