It has taken me about a month and a half to get back to being able to do most of the things that I want to do, although I still have some pain. Right now I am seeing a chiropractor in San Jose about the stiffness in my back. Apparently when I got in this collision some of the vertebra in my back got jolted out of their proper position. It was a really scary event. I was going into work real early that morning, because we had to catch up on some stuff and I had to be some place that night. At any rate I was about a mile or so from work when suddenly this car started to cross the center line. He was coming right at me and I did my best to get out of his way. Of course the other car still side swiped me and there must have been another car riding my bumper. The car behind me did not slow down even a little and the collision from the rear sent me spinning into a bridge abutment. That was probably a lucky thing, because if I had missed it I would have been flipping end over end \down an embankment and into a busy highway below. I really do not know very well what happened after that, since I was really only partially conscious. The next thing I know I was trying to talk to the paramedic and he was trying to tell me that I was going to be alright. I suppose he had seen a lot of people in worse shape than I was in, but I could tell that I was really messed up. I still have to go to physical therapy, it is going to be a few more weeks before I can ditch the cane.
